ÖSD Requirements

You are requested to present yourself at the examination with a valid identification and with a confirmation of your payment.

Examination procedure
Candidates must be familiar with examination procedure before the exam.
External candidates can take part in Preparation for the Examination, see ÖSD Preparation, or must provide confirmation that they have received a corresponding introduction.

Examinations
Written or oral examinations at all levels are possible within a year.

Dictionaries
For exam levels A1, A2 and B1, no use of dictionaries is allowed.
For the B2 Certificate exam, you may use a monolingual or bilingual dictionary.
For the C1  Certificate and C2 Certificate exams, you may use a monolingual dictionary (only German). Electronic dictionaries, electronic pocket dictionaries or the like are not allowed.

Method of payment
Use simple Online-Registration with payment by credit card, electronic transfer & PayPal.
Cash is accepted when registering personally in the office at Rudolfskai 48, 5020 Salzburg.

Cancelling the ÖSD examination

  • Cancellations are possible only in writing by email or post.

  • Cancellation deadlines and fees are as follows – the date the email was received or the postmark applies.

  • The examination fee will not be charged if you do not appear for the examination.
